School for underprivileged children
Global orphanage trust started an education program over 10 years ago and in that time we have had huge success in giving families who live in the slums access to free education. We started off with only 5 children enrolled as most families needed their children to work and contribute to the family's income. These families come from a place of extreme poverty - many adults are illiterate, uneducated and work as manual labourers.
The Trust has worked really hard in helping the families realise the importance of education. There are now over 200 children who have access to this support and the Trust currently employs 7 teachers. We began with 1 school building teaching children up to the 5 th grade. As of 2020, we now have 2 buildings and, with the permission from the government, we are now able to teach up to the 8 th grade. This program has had such a positive impact on those living in Patel Nagar, Faridabad.
